Bob Johnson was born on Staten Island, New York, was an Eagle Scout and played football on a high school City Championship team. He earned a scholarship to The University of Pennsylvania and played football while earning a BS degree in Chemical Engineering. While working full time, he earned an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.
Bob worked for Clorox for 22 years in successive manufacturing and management roles including plant manager positions and ultimately Region Manufacturing Manager for the western half of the country. Bob later served as President of the Pine Mountain Fire Log Co. He and his wife Elaine also owned and operated the Kiwi Kayak Co, a manufacturer of recreational kayaks.
He and Elaine have been married for 47 years and have two daughters and eight grandchildren who love to visit “the Truckee house”. Bob has owned a home in Truckee since 1989. He is active in the community through his involvement with the Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian Church, being a MANA volunteer and as a member of the local Business Networking International (BNI) chapter. When he is not working, Bob enjoys cooking, golf, hiking, kayaking, skiing and spending time with his family.
